Over the past 19 years, Emily Chin has built a career rooted in craftsmanship and care — leading Medalized in transforming achievements into bespoke awards, co-founding Female Founders MYSEA (FFMYSEA) to support women entrepreneurs across the region, and guiding families toward homes that reflect the lives they’re building.

On paper, these may seem like different worlds. But at the heart of each is the same instinct: to honour milestones, to spotlight growth, and to create something that endures beyond the moment itself.
Today, Emily calls herself a Legacy Curator — someone who sees beyond the surface and helps others recognise the meaning within their journey.
🌻 How do you set your vibe for the day?
Definitely coffee first. I love starting my mornings slow and quiet with my coffee. Then i’ll go for my morning walk or run or hot pilates… to keep myself energised.
🧘♀️ How do you relax?
Relaxation is when everything feels aligned.
Movement like walking and running helps me listen to my mind. I pay attention to those quiet whispers, allowing them to guide me back to my heart and soul. Many unexpected actions and breakthroughs were born in those moments.
For me, relaxation is a state of mind when I honour what I truly wish to do.
Dreams without action are hallucinations. Dreams with plans become direction.

💼 How would you describe your work to someone outside of your field?
I design and produce bespoke awards and medals for companies, organisations, and events, turning achievements into meaningful physical keepsakes. I’ve been in the awards creation industry for over 18 years.
I started with off-the-shelf medals and trophies, and gradually evolved into fully customised designs. Because I built everything from the ground up, I understand how materials, finishes, and branding come together to tell a story through an object.
My role is to guide clients from idea to execution helping them visualise the final piece, then translating that vision into a physical award that represents their achievement.
Meeting achievers and leaders along the way, hearing their struggles and behind-the-scenes stories reshaped how I see success. It taught me that every effort counts, and every moment deserves to be honoured.
Today, through awards, my Female Founders community, and real estate, I create platforms that spotlight growth journeys, turning effort, progress, and life stages into legacies that can be seen, felt, and remembered.

🏅 Why do physical keepsakes like medals still matter in a digital-first world?
In a world driven by AI and digital experiences, physical keepsakes ground us. A medal is a precious memento that captures a real moment in time.
I call it Medalized Magical Moments, the moments earned through heart, sweat, discipline, and perseverance. Every time you hold that medal, it reminds you of what it truly took to get there.
🔑 As a Legacy Curator, what does legacy mean to you right now, in this season of your life?
I’m deeply grateful to have met so many humble high achievers through my work. The higher they rise, the more grounded and rich in wisdom they become.
Those intimate one-to-one conversations trained me to see hidden values and connect the dots in people’s life journeys. To me, legacy is about how we honour and highlight meaningful moments in the present.

💌 What advice would you give someone struggling to reconcile multiple passions or careers?
I didn’t start with passion. I started with responsibility.
Over time, as I focused on serving clients and staying curious, passion found me. I never forced myself to “figure it out.” I allowed it to flow.
Curiosity became my compass. Every setback, I met with the question: What’s next? What opportunity might be waiting here? You can only connect the dots looking backwards.
So instead of asking, “Which comes first — passion or career?” Do better than yesterday. See “no” as a detour, not an ending. And remember — in this era of AI, being multidimensional is a strength.
We are capable of far more than we think.
🤝 Do you enjoy networking?
I used to think I didn’t. But honestly I love it.
If I stay home too many days without meeting people or clients, I start feeling restless. Networking fuels my curiosity, expands my thinking, and energises me.

🌐 Best encounter at a networking event?
When you meet exactly the right people who help move the needle. Sometimes a simple conversation becomes your biggest aha moment.
💖 What’s your favourite thing about Mole?
The bright yellow colour and the cute icon mean a lot to me. More importantly, it’s the vibe you create, an energetic, welcoming community where people can relax, connect, and be themselves. It feels authentic, not pretentious.

🎧 What are you listening to now?
I may look calm and gentle on the outside, but my playlists are full of heartbeat-pumping tracks. They fuel my runs and energise me in the car especially before meeting clients. One of my favourite is Forzisimo by Adrian Berenguer
🍧 Favourite snack or dessert?
I love desserts. A good coffee paired with chocolate brownies is my comfort choice. At night, it’s tiramisu with a touch of whisky.
