Adeline Chen, CEO of Decorous Motion, the company behind Pliē Malaysia and Soko Asia, leads with purpose and clarity.

A seasoned brand strategist and community builder, she creates brands that empower women, connect communities, and inspire confidence.

Her work is not just about strategy or storytelling. It is about redefining leadership through empathy and excellence. For Adeline, being limitless does not mean doing it all. It means choosing what aligns and letting that guide every decision.

In a world that often rewards speed, she reminds us that sometimes growth begins with slowing down and taking a chance on yourself.

🌻 How do you set your vibe for the day?

I’ll get ready, do my makeup, and dress up for the day — it’s part of how I step into my energy. While I’m getting ready, I love listening to podcasts; it helps me get into the right mindset before the day starts.

🛋️ How do you relax?

Being with my family grounds me. Slow mornings with my kids — those moments refill me and remind me why I do what I do.

💼 How would you describe your work to someone outside of your field?

I help brands and communities connect in meaningful ways. My work blends strategy, storytelling, and people — turning ideas into experiences that matter.

👩‍👧You’ve held space for many women and mothers, even supporting new moms through postpartum struggles. What drives you to do this work?

Because I’ve been there. I understand how lonely and overwhelming those early stages of motherhood can be. Supporting women through that journey — helping them rediscover their confidence — gives my work real purpose.

🌏 What does being limitless mean to you, and why do you keep choosing big challenges?

Being limitless means believing that growth never stops. It’s about trusting yourself enough to evolve, even when it’s uncomfortable. I keep choosing big challenges because that’s where the transformation happens.

🪴 You recently pivoted from retail to a hybrid model while pregnant — what was that experience like for you, and what helped you stay grounded through it?

It was both challenging and eye-opening. Pregnancy slowed me down physically but made me more intentional. I learned to delegate, trust my team, and stay present — balancing softness and strength at the same time.

🔄 How did you decide what to keep and what to let go in the process?

I filtered everything through one question — does this align with my purpose? If it didn’t serve growth or peace, I released it. That’s how I created space for what truly matters.

🤝 Do you enjoy networking?

Yes, but I prefer it to feel organic. I love connecting with people who are passionate, kind, and aligned in values — not just business cards exchanged.

🌐 Best encounter at a networking event?

The best ones are always unplanned — when a casual chat turns into a lasting friendship or collaboration. Some of my strongest partnerships began that way.

💖 What's your favourite thing about Mole?

The sense of belonging. It’s a space that embraces ambition, connection, and authenticity — all at once.
